Cooking crab has always been my wish, but i was quite scared to clean those and cook it. I have been getting lots and lots of request from my viewers to post crab recipes. But i kind of stayed away from it. But oneday as a surprise hubby got some fresh sea crabs. First i was quite scared to touch it. But i watched few videos of how to clean crab in youtube and got courage to cook them.
I even took a video of how to clean crab. But as a sad note that video got deleted without my notice. So couldn't post that for you, but Here is the video which i watched before cleaning, check it out. With no more delay off you go to the recipe..

Ingredients:
Crab - 3 large or 10 small ones Cleaned
Onion - 1 large or 2 medium size chopped
Tomatoes - 3 medium size chopped
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tblspn
Green Chillies - 2
Turmeric Powder / Manjal podi - 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Coriander Powder 1 tblspn
Garam Masala Powder - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 3 tblspn
For Grinding:
Fresh Coconut - 1/2 cup grated
Poppy Seeds / Khus Khus / Kasa Kasa - 1 tblspn
Whole Pepper - 1 tsp
Fennel Seeds / Sombu / Saunf - 1 tsp
Method:
Take onions, tomatoes and chillies in a blender and make into a smooth puree. Set aside. Take all the grinding ingredients in a blender and puree them to a smooth mix. Set them till use.
Now heat oil in a kadai. Add the pureed masala and stir well. Add in ginger garlic paste and cook till oil separates in it.
Now add in salt and spice powders and mix well.
Now add in cleaned crab and toss well in the masala.
Now add in the pureed coconut masala and mix well. Add some water. Cover and cook for 20 mins.
Now add coriander leaves and serve with rice.
