Goli Baje Recipe / Mangalore Bajji Recipe / Bajji with Getti Chutney


I love love love this bajji or bonda whatever you call. I have made this so many times other anything else. I have posted a mysore bonda recipe in this blog before, but this one is a little different from that. But both taste equally good.




I served this hot fluffy bajji with a thick coconut chutney which we call as getti chutney. This chutney can be paired with all my bajji and bonda recipes..Hope you like it and let me know if you try it..


Preparation Time : 10 mins

Cooking Time : 1 to 2 min per batch
Serves : 4 to 5

Ingredients:


All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup

Gram Flour / Kadalai Mavu - 1/4 cup
Curd / Yogurt - 1/2 cup
Water as needed
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakm - 1 tsp
Ginger - 1 tsp grated
Onion - 4 tblspn finely chopped
Green Chillies - 1 chopped finely
Curry leaves - 2 sprigs chopped finely
Coriander Leaves - 1 tblspn finely
Salt to taste
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp
Oil for Deep frying

For Getti Chutney:
Fresh Coconut - 1/2 cup grated
Roasted Gram Dal / Pottu Kadalai - 2 tblspn
Green Chillies - 3
Salt to taste
Water as needed

Method:


Take all the ingredients in a bowl and make it into a smooth batter.


Heat oil for deep frying, drop spoonful of batter in and fry till golden.


Drain and serve with chutney.


For Chutney:


Take all the ingredients in a mixer and make it into a smooth paste by adding little water.


Serve with bajji.

Take flour in a bowl


add in some gram flour


add in some salt and sugar


add in some coriander leaves and curry leaves


add in green chillies and grated ginger


add in cumin seeds


add in some curd


and some water


Add in some chopped onions


some baking soda


mix well to a smooth batter


take small portion of batter


drop it in hot oil


fry the bajji


fry till golden


drain it


all bajji fried


now lets make the chutney, take coconut in a blender


add in green chillies


and some roasted gram dal




add in some salt


add in some water


pure to a thick chutney


serve
