Serves : 2
Ingredients:
Wheat Rava / Broken Wheat / Gothumai Rava - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Cardamom Powder / Yelakai podi - 1/2 tsp
Ghee - 1 tblspn + 1 tsp
Cashewnuts - 1 tblspn
Sultanas / Kishmish - 1 tblspn
Food Colouring a pinch (optional)
Method:
Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pressure cooker.
Add in wheat rava and roast for a min.
Add in milk and water and mix well. Cover and pressure cook for 2 whistle, simmer the flame and cook for 5 mins. Turn off the heat and let the steam go all by itself. Open the cooker.
Add in sugar and keep cooking till it gets thick. Add little food colouring if you need.
Now heat ghee in a pan, add in cashews and fry till golden, add in kishmish and fry for few sec.
Pour this over the kesari and mix well..
Add in cardamom powder and mix well.
Serve warm.
