This is my go to chutney for idli or dosa, it is so easy to make and taste really yummy. I like to have it with idli, dosa or kuzhipaniyaram. I like to add little extra oil for this chutney and the oil which i prefer to use is gingelly oil because of its aroma and taste.

I already have few version of onion tomato chutney in my blog. I dont make the same chutney twice. I like to experiment with the chutney.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 10 mins
Serves : 3 to 4
Ingredients:
Onion - 1 large peeled and chopped
Tomato - 1 large chopped
Dry Red Chillies - 3 to 4
Garlic - 3 fat cloves peeled
Tamarind - 1 tsp
Gingelly Oil - 2 tblspn
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Method:
Take onion, tomato, chilli, garlic, tamarind in a blender and make it into a fine puree.
Heat oil in a kadai. Add in mustard and let it crackle.
Add in the ground puree, salt and cook till oil separates.
Serve with idli or dosa or kuzhipaniyaram.
