Maha is started her 11th month now. I am looking for new recipes and new healthy foods to include in her diet. I didn't start on cow's milk yet. I should wait for one more month to include that in her diet. This is one amazing health powder which i made and it was such a healthy one. I added only badam and cashews in this, along with that i added roasted gram dal and dry ginger which are so healthy for your babies. I started giving this powder only after 10 months. I will share another version of dry fruit powder which is good for babies after 1 year. 

If you want to make this for older babies. just add some pista, raisans, walnuts, dates to make it more healthy.


This is great as a daily health booster for your babies. You can add a spoonful of this in your babies porridge when you cook it and feed her. This is like magic and maha loves it so much. I add this to my ragi porridge, banana porridge and a new recipe which i will share soon. You can infact add this whatever you make. Just for a idea, check out my baby recipes

How to sterilize baby feeding bowls: 

Start by sterilizing the bowls and spoons which you are going to feed your baby. Take the bowl and spoon in a large saucepan, cover it with water and bring them to a boil. Boil it rapidly for 5 mins. Now you can turn the heat off and leave them stay in the hot water till use. 

How to make Nuts Powder at Home:

Ingredients:

Roasted Gram Dal / Pottu Kadalai / Pori kadalai - 1 cup
Cashews - 1/2 cup
Badam / Almonds - 1/2 cup
Dry Ginger - 2 inch piece or 2 tsp of powdered one

Method:

Take badam and cashew in a kadai and roast them till they turn golden, now add in gram dal and roast for a couple of mins.

Now take them in a blender and add dry ginger. Powder them finely.

Store in a air tight container in fridge.

Notes:

1)You dont have to sieve this powder. Just powder this finely and store in a air tight container in fridge.
2)Add a spoonful of this powder to your babies food like porridges when cooking it.
