Bournvita Burfi Recipe


This is a simple and easy burfi to try for this diwali..I made this on the same day when i made my horlicks burfi and both of them turned out to be good. I loved them so much.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 20 to 25 mins
Makes : 15 pieces

Ingredients:

All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup
Bournvita - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup + 2 tblspn

Method:

Heat 2 tblspn of water and pour that over the bournvita. Mix well so it is melted.

Take ghee in a pan, add in flour and roast till nice aroma comes. Remove it to a bowl.

Now in the same pan, add in sugar and 1/2 cup water. Heat it and bring it to boil.Boil this till one string consistency is reached.

Now add in maida mix and cook till it gets thick.

Once it is thick add in bournvita mix and mix well.

Mix till it leaves the sides of the pan.

Now pour this in to a greased plate and let it cool down.

Once it is cooled. Cut into slices and serve.

Take all your ingredients


Take some water in a sauce pan


Heat it


add it to some bournvita powder


mix well and set aside


Heat ghee in a pan


once it is hot add in flour


fry for 2 to 3 mins till nice aroma comes from it


remove it to a bowl


In the same pan, take sugar


add in some water


Heat it up and cook till sugar is melted


Now bring it to one string consistency


add in the maida mix


mix well and cook till it gets thick


add in the bournvita mix


mix well


Now it has started leaving the sides


Pour this into a greased plate


top it with some pista


slice and serve
