Garlic Naan Recipe / Garlic Naan without Yeast


I would say naan is my favourite, i love the soft bread a lot. It just soaks up the curries and taste just mouthwatering. I love naan with either butter chicken or butter paneer. I have few varieties of them in my blog as well, check all of them here.

Preparation Time : 20 mins
Resting Time : 1 hour
Cooking Time : 1 min per naan
Makes : 10 to 12 naan

Ingredients:


All Purpose Flour / Maida - 2 cup + more for rolling 

Salt to taste
Thick Unsour Curd / Yogurt - 3 tblspn
Milk - 3/4 cup
Oil / Ghee / Butter - 3 tblspn
Baking Soda / Cooking Soda - 3/4 tsp
Garlic - 10 to 5 fat cloves
Sugar - 2 tblspn
Water if needed
Butter / Ghee for brushing on top

Method:


Take curd, milk,baking soda,sugar..Mix well. Set aside.


Take garlic in a blender and puree. Set aside.


Take flour, salt, garlic, oil in a bowl and rub with your hands.


Add in milk mix and knead it to dough.Let it rest for 1 hour. 


Divide it into equal balls. Roll it into rounds.


Heat a tawa till hot. Wet the top of the naan with water and flip the water side down on hot tawa.


Invert it over hot flame and let it cook till you see black spots on it.


Brush it with some ghee or butter. Serve.

Take all your ingredients


Take curd in a bowl


add in milk


add in sugar


add in baking soda


mix well and set aside for a min


Take peeled garlic in a blender


make it into a puree


take flour in a bowl


add in salt


garlic puree


add in oil


rub with your hands


so the oil and garlic is evenly distributed


Pour in the milk mix


knead it to a soft dough


cover and let it rest


now take a small portion and roll it into circle


dip your fingers in water


spread it all over the naan


Place the wet side down in hot tawa
and invert it on direct flame


now the top is cooked and got nice colour as well


brush it with some melted butter


Serve hot..
