Mint Paratha Recipe / Pudhina Paratha Recipe


Paratha can be made with anything, it will taste great as usual. I had some mint leaves lying in fridge, so i thought of make paratha with it. This is so simple to make and i added only cumin and pepper powder because i wanted to keep the mint flavour as the dominant flavour in the paratha.

Preparation Time : 15 mins
Resting Time : 30 mins
Serves : 2 to 3

Ingredients:

Soft Unsalted Butter / Ghee / Oil as needed
Wheat flour as needed for dusting

For Dough:
Whole Wheat Flour / Atta - 1 cup
Salt to taste
Water - 1/2 cup or as needed

For Mint Masala:
Mint Leaves - 2 cup
Cumin Powder / Jeera Podi - 2 tsp
Pepper Powder - 2 tsp
Salt to taste

Method:

Take flour and salt in a bowl. mix well. Add water slowly and make it into a soft dough. Cover it and let it rest for 30 mins.

Now chop mint leaves very finely. Add salt, pepper and cumin powder in it and mix well with your fingers. 

Now divide the dough into equal balls. 

Take a ball and roll it into rounds. Spread some butter all over it and sprinkle flour. Sprinkle mint masala and start fleating. Now roll it and flatten it. Now spread it into paratha.

Heat a tawa. Put paratha in hot tawa and cook on both sides till golden. Spread butter as needed and cook.

Serve.

Start by making the dough..Take wheat flour in a bowl

add in salt

add water slowly

make it into a soft dough

cover and let it rest for 30 mins

Now lets make the mint topping..Chop mint 
finely


Take it in a plate


sprinkle in cumin powder


and some pepper powder


add some salt


rub with your hands to mix well
Now take dough is rested for a while

divide it into equal portions


take a ball


spread it into round


take a tsp of butter


spread it all over the paratha


sprinkle with some flour


sprinkle some mint masala over this


i used my fingers to press it slightly


now time to make fleats


start fleating


just like this


now it is fleated


start rolling


roll..


roll..


tuck the end under the ball


flatten it


done


sprinkle some flour and roll it into paratha


put it in hot tawa


cook on few sec and flip other side


now spread some butter of ghee..Flip over


Spread butter or ghee on other side as well


Paratha cooked till perfection


Serve
